EDRA Awards

About THE EDRA AWARDS

EDRA Awards honor the accomplishments of distinguished EDRA members and sister organizations for their substantial contributions to the Environmental Design disciplines, environment and behavior research/practice, and EDRA's overall mission “to provide a collaborative, multidisciplinary community to connect theory, research, teaching, and practice to recognize, create and advocate for environments that are responsive to diverse human needs. EDRA is committed to equity, inclusion, and respect for all persons.

HISTORY OF EDRA AWARDS

In 1977, the Board of Directors established the EDRA Career Award to honor the accomplishments of distinguished members who had made substantial contributions to the discipline of environment and behavior research over their careers. This award was joined later by the EDRA Service Award and the EDRA Achievement Award, to recognize other ways in which contributions to the field have been made. In addition to the individual awards, EDRA's Organization Award was established to recognize organizations whose work contributes to EDRA's mission.
